Visit to Spruce Creek High School

We are so grateful for Spruce Creek High School and their Student Government Association for the kickstarter grant they provided YouResearch. These funds mobilize our efforts and raises the number of students we can assist. Thank you for believing in the power of youth! We are constantly looking for sponsors, whether charitable individuals or collective organizations. If interested in supporting our mission and directly raising the number of students we can help pursue research, please contact YouResearch

Going Beyond STEM

The word “research” often conjures up images of white coat-clad scientists arched over a microscope or test tube – a conception of research that is rarely inclusive of the social sciences, arts, or humanities. Research itself is often narrowly construed as a means for producing new solutions for relevant problems, or discovering the unknown. However, research outside of STEM focuses itself on the recontextualization and scholarly inquiry of known cultural artifacts or events from a critical perspective, with an emphasis on analysis and innovation.

Humans of YouResearch

We believe research can have a large impact on a community and its individuals; we highlighted this facet of research through our Humans of YouResearch campaign on our Facebook page. This series details what inspired members of the YouResearch team to pursue research, and the effect their research experiences had on their lives.

YouResearch Team at the Nobel Prize Ceremony

At the closing of each year, Nobel prizes are awarded to Laureates in a grand celebration of discovery, innovation, and excellence. YouResearch advisors Wyatt Pontius and Swetha Revanur, both of whom are freshmen at Stanford University, were invited to attend the festivities in Stockholm.

2017 YouResearch Fellows Announced

The YouResearch Fellowship is an international match-and-mentorship program that connects selected high school students with research opportunities in their area of interest. In addition, each Fellow has been assigned one of the YouResearch team's experienced student advisors who will work directly with the student throughout the entire research process.
